"Wait for You" is a song by former American Idol contestant Elliott Yamin. It is the first official single from his self-titled album Elliott Yamin (following the retail-only promotional hit "Movin' Happening").

The music picture for the song (directed by Nick Spanos) shows Yamin in a assortment of locations reminiscing about his girlfriend who has left him. The video shows Yamin on the beach, in his bedroom, and only walking on a sidewalk pictorial representation his ex-girlfriend's smiling face, and appealing for her to come back, sporting like in the lyrics of the song. The video features a recurring close up face shot of Yamin, in a black and white tone. Yamin is too shown in the studio recording the song throughout the video. At last, his ex-girlfriend finally approaches him on the beach.
The TV debuted at number ane on VH1's VSpot Crowning 20 Countdown, and was number 1 for four continuous weeks until July 28, 2007, when it went down to #2 with "Hey There Delilah" by Evident White T's in the top spot, but the followers week it returned to first. The telecasting spent 17 weeks along the countdown, which included eight weeks at number one, and was number 19 on VH1's countdown of the Top 40 Videos of 2007.
